Staring Contest is the performance alias of American producer and DJ Matt Hunt, hailing from the Washington, D.C. area. Early in his career, Staring Contest made his debut at DJ Mag's Top 100 number one club in the world, Echostage, as well as Insomniac-owned Soundcheck in Washington, D.C.

 

He has since regularly performed at other Insomniac venues, including Academy LA, TIME Nightclub, and Exchange LA, as well as Avalon Hollywood. In addition to his performances, he continues to focus on producing tracks in the house space.
